St. Anselm Church

A Caring, Committed, Catholic Community

Arise:

Last Arise Session Begins October 3 - We are the Good News!

Over 50 members of St. Anselm have participated in the Arise Program in the past two years. ARISE Together in Christ is the new approach to Catholic spiritual renewal that is spreading throughout the Archdiocese of Boston. ARISE offers the opportunity for new friendships, stronger faith, and a deeper relationship with God through prayer and the Scriptures in a small-group setting.

No training, preparation, fees or experience is needed to join - just an open heart and 90 minutes once a week for six weeks. Please consider joining us.

Arise Background:

Together in Christ is a process of spiritual renewal and evangelization that enables people to deepen their faith, develop a closer relationship with Christ, grow in community, and reach out in service to others.

All people of the Archdiocese of Boston are invited to come together to form a renewed community of laity and clergy, to welcome back those who may have been distanced from the Church, and to spread the Good News through active commitment to charity and justice. At St. Anselm, small groups will meet in homes or meeting rooms weekly for six weeks, beginning in the fall. Look for more information later this summer.

You may address questions to Fr. Tom and the ARISE team, who can easily be identified by their ARISE pins. Your participation is welcomed and valued.

“THE ESSENTIAL THINGS IN HISTORY BEGIN ALWAYS WITH THE SMALL, MORE CONVINCED COMMUNITIES. SO, THE CHURCH BEGINS WITH SMALL COMMUNITIES, CHARACTERIZED BY TRUTH AND FORCE OF CONVICTION. IN THE NEXT TEN YEARS, WE HOPE TO HAVE A NEW SPRINGTIME – A NEW LIFE OF CONVINCED PERSONS WITH THE JOY OF THE FAITH”

POPE BENEDICT XVI, MAY 2005
